“This investment adds the finishing touch to our manufacturing of fireproof and soundproof panels of the kind we have delivered for prestigious projects such as Stockholm Waterfront. With our new 10-ton machine we are taking another step forward in terms of contour milling and acoustic drilling,” says Mats Lindvall, MD and owner.

Alongside the new NC machine, the company is in the process of implementing a new UV line as a complement to the existing automated spray line. This means that it will be possible to surface-treat both small and multiple batches just as easily.

The comprehensive plant equipment also offers obvious flexibility for both sheet material and solid wood, with the three NC machines ensuring short lead times and parallel running of several projects at the same time. Furthermore, new working methods have been introduced and have also contributed to increased capacity.

“We have transferred a large portion of the traditional specialist joinery work to our production planners. With the aid of CAD/CAM they design and create complete programs for the NC machine that is best suited to each particular processing task. This new working method has enabled a volume increase of 27 per cent in the past three years – while maintaining our staffing level,” says Mats.

Despite all the new investments, however, Mats values the combined expertise within the company and the whole SSC Group above all else.

“Our know-how is what makes us truly unique – participation and commitment throughout, from sales process until the product is installed and ready for use. Proof of this is that we have succeeded in maintaining our annual growth target of 10 per cent over time. That feels really good,” concludes Mats.
